At CrossFit Amstelveen, we view fitness as the path to a better life. Our program positively impact every aspect of your life, from health and fitness to daily mood and confidence, by helping provide you with the tools and structure to take the best care of your health. Health and fitness is at the center of fulfilling life and everything falls in place around it. Fitness is more than just another to-do item that we stuff into our busy agenda’s. At CrossFit Amstelveen we combine the best of Olympic weightlifting, running, rowing, power lifting, kettlebells, gymnastics, speed training, etc, to provide the best conditioning and strength program available.


    Our bodies are meant to adapt to physical stressors. Once adapted, physical changes decrease or stop all together. In essence routine is the enemy. CrossFit Amstelveen programming to to keep the body guessing and always adapting. Our “constantly varied” protocol allows us to tackle the movements we excel at, but also test the ones that we find difficult. We believe that performing the movements you least desire will result in better fitness. The workout changes every day, so you never get bored!

    We push you to perform at your highest level. You make progress faster when you push harder. However, intensity is relative, and safety and form have our priority, so in the group, each indiviual will work hard within own level.


    Functional movements are those that mimic common activity of daily living, or movements that aren’t so common like running from a rabid dog, scaling a wall from a fire or lifting a heavy rock off a trapped friend. These compound movements also yield the best results for strength, positive hormone release and overall body composition.


    What does “universally scalable” mean? Scalability allows us to alter the daily workouts to a member’s age, experience or athletic prowess, etc. we design programs that work for everyone from grandmothers to professional athletes.


    Our program is taught in both a group-training and personal-coaching environment. Our sessions are led by a qualified coach and are generally 60 minutes long. This hour includes a warm up, skill and technique work, the workout, and some mobility/stretching related to the workout.

We also offer Open Gym sessions, personal coaching, and seminars for those of you looking to work on skills, catch up on missed workouts, or get a workout in outside of standard class hours.

crossfit teens

big fun for all ages

CrossFit Teens is a method for teaching CrossFit to children ages 11-15. Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, CrossFit Teens emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for teens. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.

CrossFit Teens is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General Fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children.

The program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids.
